There is a big argument that Sports Injuries Rehabilitation Specialists use a wide variety of therapeutic techniques in the treatment and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries. For the physiotherapist it is essential to possess knowledge regarding the scientific basis and the physiologic effects of the various modalities on a specific injury. when this theoretical basis is applied to practical experience,it has potential to become an extremely effective clinical method.
An effective treatment program includes three primary objectives:
- Management or reduction of pain associated with an injury
- Return of full nonrestricted range of movement to an injured part
- Maintenance or perhaps implement of strength through the full range.
If you were to ask ten different physiotherapists what combination of modalities and therapeutic exercise they use in a given treatment program you would probably get ten different responses. There is no way to "cookbook" a treatment plan that involves the use of therapeutic modalities.
In our Clinic we recommended some protocols who developed through our experience in Sports Injuries area.
